
Mark Robinson is the Managing Director of BC Cruise Services, part of Mobico & Alsa Group, one of Europe’s leading transportation companies listed on the UK Stock Exchange. Based at the company’s Barcelona headquarters, BC Cruise Services delivers world-class support to many of the world’s leading cruise lines across Spain, Portugal, and the Azores. Its portfolio includes shore excursions, turnaround operations, port agency services, pre- and post-cruise hotel and land programs, as well as bespoke event management.
In his role, Robinson oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, leading a team of 85 experienced cruise-handling professionals across Spain and Portugal with over 2,000 cruise calls a year. His responsibilities extend beyond operations to include business development, strategic expansion into new destinations and markets, and oversight of all head office functions.
With more than 36 years of experience in the cruise and travel industry, Robinson brings unparalleled expertise and leadership. He began his career in 1985 in Corfu, Greece, in tour operations, before moving into the cruise sector in 1998 as Vice President of Operations at Festival Cruises in Athens. In 2003, he founded Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, later serving as its CEO. He has also held senior executive roles as Chief Commercial Officer at Global Ports Holding and Cruise Saudi, where he played a pivotal role in developing the Kingdom’s cruise strategy. Most recently, he served as SVP of Operations at Scenic Group, overseeing a fleet of four ocean vessels and 22 river ships, before joining BC Cruise Services in 2023.
