In 2001 he began his professional career in Costa Cruises as a sales representative for the Italian cruise line. In 2002, and continuing to be linked to the cruise sector, he joined the MSC Group as a sales representative for MSC Cruises where, after four years of professional success, he was promoted to the position of Head of Sales; a year later, in 2007, he was named Commercial Director of MSC Cruises.
After 8 years at MSC Cruises, where he was part of the company's growth, he embarked on a new professional journey at Logitravel as Head of Cruise Product Recruitment for the group, where he managed to launch Logitravel's internationalisation process. Three years after his departure, in 2013, he returned to MSC Cruises as Commercial and Marketing director.
In 2016, he was appointed Deputy General Manager of MSC Cruises Spain, a position he held until September 2017, when he was promoted to General Manager to support the growth of the business across the market. Since then, Fernando has been working and collaborating with the company's expansion plan. And from Summer 2023, Fernando was appointed General Manager of MSC Group's new luxury lifestyle company, Explora Journeys.
