Dr Jörg Rudolph joined AROYA Cruises as President in January 2024, bringing more than 30 years of experience, and knowledge from his PHD in Business Administration from the University of Münster, to this pioneering role.
Rudolph is a respected industry expert, having held several influential roles within the global cruise sector.
He began his career working as Managing Director of Strategy at German retail company Otto Group, before moving into the travel industry as First Travel Agency – Managing Director at TUI Retails. The majority of his career has been across cruising, with Rudolph having held Managing Director roles at several notable cruise lines including Costa Cruises, Royal Caribbean and AIDA Cruises.
At the helm of AROYA Cruises, Rudolph’s experience and expertise are integral in bringing the first Saudi cruise line to market. His role as President means he is responsible for overseeing all elements of AROYA Cruises’ operations and financials, encompassing sales, marketing, guest experience, itinerary planning, revenue management and customer-oriented services.
Announced in June 2023, AROYA Cruises is a first-of-its-kind cruise line offering a remarkably Arabian cruise experience. AROYA Cruises was launched in line with Vision 2030 and Saudi’s ambitions to become one of the top global tourism destinations. The first AROYA Cruises sailing is anticipated to depart in December 2024.
