Mark Robinson is the General Manger of the BC Group part of the Mobico & Alsa Group one of the leading transportation companies in Europe who are listed on the UK stock exchange.
The BC Group offers various services to the world’s leading cruise lines in Spain, Portugal & the Azores such as shore excursions, turnarounds, port agency services and pre and post hotel and tour programs and is based in the companies Barcelona Head Office. Robinson oversees the day-to-day operations of the BC Group where he leads a team of 75 experienced cruise handling professionals in both countries. Marks role encompasses a strong focus on business development and the expansion of the BC Group into new destinations and countries as well as overseeing all the operations and all head office functions and teams.
Robinson, who has more than 36 year’s experience within the cruise & travel industry and started his career back in 1985 in Corfu, Greece in the tour operating business. After a successful career in tour operations he entered into the cruise industry as VP Operations at Festival Cruises based in Athens Greece in 1998. More recent roles include SVP of Operations at the Scenic Group with responsibility for their fleet of 4 ocean vessels and 22 river ships. Prior to this he held senior executive roles at Cruise Saudi, Global Ports Holding and was the CEO of Intercruises Shoreside & Port Service.
