Matias is born and raised in the United States, in sunny South Florida, and of Chilean descent. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship.
Throughout his career he has worked in hotels, distribution and mostly cruising. Having started his cruise career working aboard Pride of America, he quickly became entangled in all things cruise where he rose through the shipboard operational ranks, prior to coming shoreside to focus on his sales career. Over the last 13 years he has worked in direct sales, reservations, groups, special services, turnaround operations, contact center development, and various other sales and sales support functions. At Crystal, Matias oversees the trade distribution within Latin America, Caribbean, United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Continental Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In addition, he oversees trade distribution for Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group DMC business throughout Latin America and Caribbean. Matias is widely known for his ability to create, corral, and motivate sales teams and agencies to join along the passion he holds dearly for Crystal and Abercrombie & Kent.
