Marios Polydorou has been part of the cruise industry for the last 25 years. Following his graduation from the University of Surrey in 1996 he was employed with Celestyal Cruises as overseas station manager responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s vessels overseas.
This role enabled him to work and be based in different destinations abroad including Spain, the Caribbean, France, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Egypt. In 2010, he was appointed as head of port operations & shore excursions based in Athens. From 2017, he is part of the commercial team. Under his current role, VP, Business Development, he is responsible for maintaining and developing specific Global Key Accounts & Key Source markets. Additionally, he leads the Travel Experience Centre ensuring that the companies guests make the most of their visits ashore by arranging unique experiences at the destination the company’s vessels call at. Marios, is passionate about travelling and tries to visit a new destination every year.
